Jejunal Transposition (J-T) Operation for Treatment of Peptic ulcer



Abstract
Since Sacharow iniciated jejunal transposition as a method of surgical treatment of peptic ulcer and stomach cancer in 1939, it has been used by many surgeons. This is the follow up study for 7-12 years of 12 cases out of 140 operated jejunal transposition for peptic ulcer.
1. No. postop weight loss was observed.
2. Postoperative hemoglobin values were increased in 83,3%,
3. Gastric acidity, basal and M.A.O, was achlorhydria in all cases.
4. Dumping was obse*ed only¢¥ in 8.3% of mild degree.
5.` Incidence of diarrhea was 16.6% in mild degree.
